"An absolute inspirational speaker. Kay Danes' life reads like a Hollywood script. In fact, it would make a great dramatic movie. Kay’s humanitarian contribution to humanity is incredibly inspiring. Every opportunity to see her speak should be made."

The Kay Danes Story
With 30+ years in humanitarian work and security operations worldwide, Dr. Danes is recognised internationally for building bridges between communities through understanding and empathy.
In 2021, she helped coordinate the evacuation of thousands of at-risk Afghans following the Taliban takeover, working with veterans, aid workers, and intelligence operators to secure safe passage through Kabul Airport and neighboring countries. Her advocacy led to crucial changes in Australian immigration policy, enabling resettlement for previously excluded Afghan allies.
Dr. Danes holds the Medal of the Order of Australia and numerous other honours including Rotary International awards and Australia Day Honours for her human rights work.
She is a respected voice at major international forums, speaking at U.S. Congressional events, the National Press Club, and the Conference on World Affairs.
In 2000, Dr. Danes survived torture as a hostage of an authoritarian regime. She transformed this experience into advocacy for change, influencing Australian policy on wrongful detention of citizens overseas (See Senate Link)
